“”Stormy Sunset in Ángulos, La Rioja
Original work by artist Graciela Musteikis, rendered in acrylic on canvas with a mixed technique combining sand and gesso to achieve a three-dimensional volumetric effect.
The painting captures the majesty of the Riojan landscape at sunset, where the warm tones of the sky —oranges, yellows, and violets— dialogue with the darkness of the mountains in backlight. The rough texture of the rocky formations and the desert vegetation in the foreground come to life thanks to the relief achieved with the mixture of sand and gesso, inviting the viewer to experience the work not only visually but also tactilely.
