“Birds Must Be Free”
Mixed media work by artist Graciela Musteikis, composed of two overlapping acrylic plates that create a unique three-dimensional depth.
On the back plate, a stained copper mesh and wire give structure to a composition of natural feathers in turquoise and blue tones, evoking the fragility and freedom of flight. On the front plate, acrylic bird silhouettes —blue, turquoise, and copper— soar through space in a dance that invites reflection.
A work that transcends the two-dimensional plane, where the materials (copper, wire, feathers, acrylic) dialogue with each other to celebrate the freedom of these beautiful animals.
Details of the work:

• Structure: 2 overlapping acrylic plates
